2. India and Vietnam Sign two agreement in the field of information and broadcasting.



India and Vietnam on Wednesday signed a MoU to enhance cooperation in the field of information and broadcasting, based on principles of equality and reciprocity pursuant to their national laws and regulations, following meeting between the prime ministers of the the two countries ahead of ASEAN Summit. 
The two set of stamps, which were released during an event in the national capital, carry picture of Sanchi Stupa and Thien Mu Pagoda

3. Punjab CM launches benefits under 'Mahatma Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojana' on R-day

Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh launched the release of benefits under 'Mahatma Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojana' (MGSVY) aimed at the inclusive growth of the distressed sections of the society.
He appealed to the state's debt-ridden farmers not to commit suicide since his government was committed to the total implementation of its farm debt waiver scheme by November 2018.

4. Pradhan Mantri LPG Panchayat launched in Jharkhand by CM Raghubar Das


Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das  launched 'Pradhan Mantri LPG Panchayat' in the state from Balijore village in Dumka district.
Prime Minister has set a target of providing gas connections to five crore families by 2019 and to fulfill his dream Jharkhand government is distributing LPG connections along with stones.Jharkhand is the first state where beneficiaries are also getting stoves along with gas connections.
'Adivasi Vikas Samiti’ will be set up in tribal populated areas while ‘Gram Vikas Samiti’ will be set up wherever the tribal population is less with seven members in smaller villages and 11 members in bigger villages

5. IAF Commando Jyoti Prakash Nirala To Be Awarded Ashok Chakra Posthumously On Republic Day

Jyoti Prakash Nirala, Indian Air Force's Garud Commando who single-handedly shot down three terrorists during an anti-terror operation, will be awarded the Ashok Chakra posthumously on 69th Republic Day.

6.NHIDCL inks MoU with IL&FS for Rs 6808 crore Zojila tunnel project


NHIDCL and IL&FS transportation signed an MoU for construction of Zojila tunnel at an estimated cost of Rs 6,808.69 crore.The tunnel will provide all weather connectivity between Srinagar, Kargil and Leh. 

Zojila pass is situated at an altitude of 11,578 feet on Srinagar-Kargil-Leh National Highway in Jammu & Kashmir.

8. India's first floating market opens in Kolkata

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the state's first floating market in Kolkata through a remote control during a programme at Netaji Indoor Stadium.The market on the lake Patuli in south Kolkata is similar to the one in Jammu and Kashmir and Thailand.
