1. Indian Railway Launched Single Point Touch Screen Inquiry System at New Delhi Railway Station.

The Railways on 26 January launched a one-of-its-kind touch-screen kiosk as a single-point inquiry station for answering all queries of passengers including about navigation for accessing various facilities available at the New Delhi railway station.
Chairman Railway Board Ashwani Lohani launched the 'Rail Yatri Guide Kiosk' at the station, designed by the Delhi division. The system comprises touch-screen kiosks with a 40-inch display of 3D-digitized railway station map and helps the passenger at the touch of the screen.

2. India Cambodia ink 4 pact to strengthen bilateral Ties.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Cambodian counterpart Samdech Hun Sen on Saturday held talks to boost ties in key areas of defence, security and counter- terrorism as they called for concerted global efforts to eliminate terrorism, including blocking sources of terrorism financing and dismantling terrorist bases.

3. World Economic Forum(WEF) launches Global Centre for Cyber Security In Geneva, Swizerland.


The World Economic Forum (WEF) has launched new Global Centre for Cybersecurity in a bid to safeguard world from hackers and growing data breaches — especially from nation-states. The centre will be headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland and will become operational from March 2018.

4. 'Maitreyi Yatra' Jammu And Kashmir Student Exchange Programme

The closing ceremony of Jammu and Kashmir Student Exchange programme 'Maitreyi yatra' was held at National Bal Bhawan here today. The Student Exchange Programme organized by Ministry of Human Resource development provides opportunity for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to be acquainted with culture, language and development story of different parts of the country.

5. China to establish International Court to deal with BRI(Belt and Road Initiative) case 

China has decided to set up three international  courts to deal with disputes related to its multi-billion dollar  Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), under which it is making massive investments.
The Chinese Supreme People's Court will set up international courts in Beijing, Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province and Shenzhen,China

7. IMT Ghaziabad selected as United Nations PRME(Principle for Responsibe Management Education) Champion

Ghaziabad-based Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) has been selected as one of the champions of the United Nations' initiative on Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). The announcement was made on January 23 at the World Economic Forum(WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.

8. AAI(Airport Authority Of India), Lao PDR sign civil aviation cooperation agreement

Celebrating 25 years of the India-ASEAN relationship, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has signed a historic agreement with Lao Air Traffic Management, Department of Civil Aviation, Lao PDR, for providing SkyRev360, a comprehensive e-data gathering, invoicing and collection system.
SkyRev360 has been developed in collaboration with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) under the Government of India's Make in India initiative.

9. Himachal Pradesh CM launches women safety helpine "Gudiya Shakti Button" mobile app

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur launched 24X7 ‘Gudiya’ helpline, named after 16-year  old rape and murder victim of Kotkhai, for a quick police response cases of crimes against women. Chief Minister also launched ‘Shakti Button’- a mobile app linked to police control rooms for ensuring the safety of women in the state. 
Chief Minister also launched Hoshiyar Singh help line on toll free number 1090.

10. Mehul Garg Indian Origin boy set new IQ Mensa Record

Indian-origin boy Mehul Garg (10) in United Kingdom became youngest applicant in decade to achieve highest score in Mensa IQ test, beating geniuses like Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. He scored maximum score of 162 to become a member of Mensa. His score is two points higher than Einstein and Hawking.
He can solve Rubik’s Cube in 100 seconds. He has been shortlisted for ‘Child Genius 2018’ show on Channel 4.
